How to make Ulu Hye's

Scrambled Tofu with Hollandaise

We love a hearty savoury breakfast! Our scrambled tofu with hollandaise means business!! Don’t mean to toot our own horn but, our scrambled tofu is the best we’ve ever had.


  • 300g firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp each of onion and garlic powder
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • Splash of tamari
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated vegan cheese
  • 1 tsp olive or coconut oil
  • Serve with: toast of your choice, avocado, hemp seeds, fresh leafy greens and vegan Hollandaise Sauce from our DIY Condiments RangeĀ 



In a small bowl, break up the tofu into really small crumbly pieces with your fingers

Add nutritional yeast, mustard, onion, garlic, tomato paste, tamari, salt and pepper and vegan cheese and combine

To make hollandaise - add 2 tsp of DIY Condiments Hollandaise with 1/4 cup water and blend with your stick blender. Slowly add in 3/4-1C oil (we used unrefined, organic sunflower)

Over a medium heat, add oil and cook scrambled tofu, stirring often until golden (no more than 5 minutes)

Dish up your brekky! We love to slice some avocado, pick some leafy greens from the garden, sprinkle with hemp or sesame seeds and dollop hollandaise on top of scramble
