How to make Ulu Hye's

French Toast Waffles

Try our dairy-free and egg-free French Toast Waffles recipe that’s made easy with our Vitamix blender and hot waffle iron! With just the right amount of sweetness thanks to the addition of bananas and your sweetener of choice – swap your usual bowl of oats for something a little bit fancier this weekend.


  • 6 slices of your bread of choice
  • 1 small to medium ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (made with our Almond Mylk Base)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or your choice of liquid sweetener
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 tbsp oil (we used liquid coconut oil)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg



Combine all ingredients Into your blender (except the bread) and blend until you achieve a smooth consistency.

Slice your bread in half diagonally and leave it in your blended batter for 30 seconds. Remove from the batter then place into your hot waffle iron.

Cook until crispy and cooked through.

Finish with your favourite toppings or simply sprinkle with cinnamon and a drizzle of maple syrup.
