Kirsten is a Bondi based Holistic Health Coach, Certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor with a passion for all things wellness. When she isn’t caught up working with clients you can find Kirsten on her yoga mat, swimming down at Bondi Beach, sipping on green smoothies and laughing way too hard at her own jokes.
WHAT KICKED START YOUR JOURNEY TO HEALTH AND WELLNESS?
I was a professional dancer for over 10 years. Over this time I started to research different ways to keep healthy and strong on and off the stage which led to a thirst for knowledge and I started studying and fell in love with helping people and became a coach. A few years ago I then got very sick and got a horrible parasite and bacterial infection which completely took over my body and led to massive hormonal and adrenal imbalances and anxiety and depression. This took me on a different journey to heal myself through yoga, meditation and a whole foods anti-inflammatory diet and my passion now is to use these tools to help others!
WHAT’S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST LIFE LESSON SO FAR?
My biggest lesson so far has been to fail forwards.
IF YOU HAD 1 MANTRA YOU HAD TO LIVE BY, WHAT WOULD THAT BE?
WHAT DO THE FIRST 2 HOURS OF YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
I wake up at 5am and do my morning meditation followed by a cup of warm water, lemon, apple cider vinegar and L-glutamine then I’ll move my body first thing usually with a sunrise walk.
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS YOU MAINTAIN A HEALTHY BALANCE PHYSICALLY, SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY?
Meditation is one of the best ways to help me deal with stress and anxiety, moving my body with yoga and coastal walks always helps clear my head, a jump in the ocean is a sure way to reset my body and mind and lastly talking to a friend or family member or professional helps a lot too.
WHAT FOOD CAN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT?
Avocado is life.
